Mecca Daily’s report quoted Mecca’s police director Major General Assaf Al Qureshi as saying that if men want to marry a foreign woman, they have to follow certain rules (Saudi Arabia New Rules For Marriage). According to Don, the government has taken this step so that Saudi men cannot marry foreign women. If they want to do so, they will have to take permission for this. Additional formalities have to be completed to get permission.
Approval will have to be taken from the government
Qureshi said, now men who are willing to marry women of these four countries will have to get approval from the government. Also, one has to apply officially for marriage (Saudi Arabia Marriage Law). He said that if a person has divorced from his wife, then he cannot apply for marriage before the completion of the period of six months. The official said that according to the new rules, the age of the applicant should be more than 25 years and he will also have to submit the necessary documents.
Important documents have to be shown
Applicants will have to attach necessary documents related to identification as per the application. Apart from this, other documents will also have to be submitted, which should have a family card. The official said, “If the applicant is already married, then he has to attach a hospital report, in which it is written that his wife is either disabled, is suffering from some chronic disease or is infertile.” After explaining these reasons, a married man can marry another woman.
