China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying told reporters on Monday that Whitsun Reef is one of the main archipelagoes in the South China Sea. Which was part of the Spratly Islands, which China claims completely. Hua said, ‘Due to the recent sea conditions, some Chinese fishing boats took refuge near Whitson Reef to escape the wind. I think this is a normal thing and hope that all the parties can see it logically. ‘

The Philippines lodged a protest
Philippines Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin tweeted in the case late on Sunday night. He told that the Philippines has lodged a diplomatic protest against this presence of China. This reef is called the Philippines Julian Felipe. This region is about 175 nautical miles (324 km) from Bataraja city in the western Philippines province (China Philippines Conflict). The region is full of resources, due to which, besides China and the Philippines, many other countries also claim. International trade worth about US $ 5 trillion takes place every year from here.
