LED bulbs require an electronic LED driver circuit to be powered from the main power line. Not using this circuit will mean that the efficiency of the LED bulb will be lower than that of LED chips. If we talk about the most efficient LED bulbs, then 200 lumens per watt bulbs are included in the market.
Some bulbs, such as incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lamps, require warm-up to burn, while LED bulbs burn quickly without a warm-up delay. However, the ability to give light in an LED bulb gradually decreases with time.
Flow of Current
LED bulbs run on direct current (DC) while mains current ie alternating current (AC) can be of a higher voltage than what the LED can carry.
Therefore, a circuit is included in the LED bulb to convert the mains voltage to the correct voltage i.e. DC. Apart from rectifiers, capacitors, etc., some other active electronic components are also involved in this circuit.

Applications of LED Bulbs
If we talk about the use of LED Bulb, it is used not only for general use i.e. lighting but also for a special purpose. That is to say, where there is a need for colored light, LEDs are also used.
LEDs that by their nature are capable of emitting a single color of light do not require an energy-absorbing filter. White colored LED bulbs have a higher light efficiency and last longer.
Since they consume less electricity than other bulbs, they are becoming popular day by day. Color mixing LEDs can emit a wide range of colors by varying the proportion of light produced in each primary color.
Energy Conservation
Conservation of energy has also become necessary with the increasing needs of energy as the cost of energy is also increasing. Therefore, since 1980, many steps have been taken by the government towards increasing energy efficiency in the industrial sector.
In India, the Energy Conservation Act 2001 was implemented on 18 August 2001, in which many provisions have been made for energy conservation and capacity building. As far as electrical energy is concerned, it can be conserved through the following steps.
- Energy conservation technology, production aids and testing facilities have to be adopted to conserve electrical energy.
- Efficient management of process/manufacturing machines and systems, QC and testing equipment has to be done for maximum energy conservation.
- Optimal use of electrical energy for heating during the soldering process Electrical energy can be conserved by using efficient temperature controlled soldering and DE soldering stations.
- Periodic maintenance of motor compressors.
- Timely use of power factor correction capacitors, proper selection and layout of lighting systems, switching off lights were not required and use of LED bulbs wherever possible.

Manufacturing Process of LED Bulb
First the body of the bulb and the diffuser are taken and adjusted in the Tikki machine. After that the PCB is soldered with the diffuse wire, the excess wire is cut off in the PCB unit.
The B22 cap is then placed on the PCB and is now pressed into the punching machine. After that the LED bulb is ready, now the packaging and transporting of the bulb is done.
