There has been a tense atmosphere between India and Pakistan since independence. The dispute between the two countries about Kashmir started only after independence. India is not ready to give Pakistan an inch of the land of its share of Kashmir, nor is any other part of the country ready to give it. But despite all this, there is such a village, for which India handed over 12 of its villages to Pakistan. After all, why would one hand over 12 villages in exchange for one village? This question will be in everyone’s mind. In this case, let us find the answer to this question.
Actually, near the border of India and Pakistan, there is Hussainiwala village, which comes under the Ferozepur district. The tombstones of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev are present here. Apart from this, the samadhi of Bhagat Singh’s partner Batukeshwar Dutt is also present here. Also, the tomb of Vidyavati Devi, the mother of Bhagat Singh, who was awarded the title of Punjab Mata, is also located here. India took this village specifically from Pakistan in lieu of its 12 villages, because here the signs of martyrs and the spirit of countrymen are attached. It is a very important and historical place from Indian history.
Martyr’s day is being celebrated today
Martyr’s day is being celebrated all over the country today. In such a situation, many heroes sacrificed their lives to get freedom for the country. It also includes Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. So on March 23, Martyr’s Day is being celebrated as the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. On this day, these three brave sons of Mother India were hanged. At the same time, Hussainiwala village is being discussed once again on the occasion of Martyr’s Day. On this day, many programs are organized here, in which people from far and wide reach to participate.
The three brave sons of Bharat Mata were hanged a day before
Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru threw a bomb in the Central Assembly raising their voice against British rule. After this, he was arrested and sentenced to be hanged. The British feared that if they were hanged on the appointed day, it might create resentment among the people. That is why the British government hanged the three people in Lahore jail on March 23, a day before. The prison wall was broken at night and the bodies were then brought to the Sutlej river flowing along with the Hussainiwala village, 45 km from the city.
So India gave 12 villages to Pakistan
English officials arrived here and burnt the dead bodies without any custom. The remains were then hurriedly dumped in the Sutlej River. After this, the mausoleums of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were established in Hussainiwala. At the same time, when the country was divided, this village went to the Pakistani part. After this, in view of the sentiments of the countrymen, India handed over 12 of its villages located in the Head Works area of Sulaiman to Pakistan and then took Hussainiwala.
