The government of Britain has added four more countries Bangladesh, Kenya, Pakistan and Philippine to its travel ban list amid a new form of Coronavirus outbreak. The Transport Department said that the latest restrictions in Britain will come into effect from 9 April. According to the terms of the travel restrictions, international travelers leaving or traveling to these countries in the last ten days will not be allowed to enter England.
Citizens of Britain and Ireland and those who have a right of abode in Britain can enter but must stay in isolation for ten days in a government-sanctioned hotel at their own expense. There are now 39 countries in the list of travel restrictions on Britain. These include Brazil and South Africa, where two new forms of the virus have been detected.
Relaxed lockdown
On Monday, the strict lockdown imposed in England was relaxed in the beginning of the year, under which people can now get out of homes, meet their family and friends, go to the park, play and play. Under the new rules, outdoor sports establishments can be reopened and a maximum of six people or two families can gather together in parks or gardens.
This decision has been taken in view of the decline in cases of corona virus infection in the last three months. After being locked in the house for months, many people have started coming out and children are also enjoying sports. Similar steps are being taken in other parts of Britain – Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. An epidemic in Britain has killed 1,26,000 people, the highest in Europe.
PM said, ‘Keep following the rules’
Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged the public to be cautious. While relaxing the lockdown, he said that everyone should follow the rules with the relaxation given. Be sure to wash hands, cover face, keep distance. According to official figures, the first dose of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine has been given to more than 30 million people in the UK.
