WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging platforms worldwide. Billions of messages are sent daily on this. Sharing the data, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that about 100 billion messages are being sent in a day. According to him, the figure of 100 billion messages was crossed in the last year on New Year.
More than 2.5 billion daily users in the world
Zuckerberg announced that there are more than 2.5 billion people in the world who use WhatsApp or any other Fussbook application every day. And the number of active advertisers on these services is 10 million. It is worth noting that most of the messages are sent during New Year’s Eve and this is usually the day when WhatsApp is used the most.
Giving information about the increase in the message, Zuckerberg said that this trend has been there for many years. On the eve of the New Year in 2017 on the platform, 63 billion messages were sent to different countries. Similarly, 75 billion messages were sent through WhatsApp in one day in 2018 and more than 100 billion messages in 2019. Since then, nearly 100 billion messages are being sent daily.

Since WhatsApp’s user base has crossed the 2 billion mark, there is no other messaging service that delivers more messages than WhatsApp. The company had reported in its report in January this year that the number of WhatsApp downloads on Android has crossed five billion, after which it is the second non-Google app to have achieved this record.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp has introduced many features this year that make the experience even better for the people. It also includes a feature of mute which helps people to silence chat alerts.
