PM Modi in Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) inaugurated the Chennai Metro Rail Phase-1 extension on Sunday. It has been completed at a cost of Rs 3770 crore. This 9.05 km long extension will connect North Chennai with the Airport and Central Railway Station. Modi has also inaugurated the fourth railway line between Chennai Beach and Attipattu. The 22.1 km section is priced at 293.40, crossing the districts of Chennai and Thiruvallur.
With this, the Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone of the Discovery Campus of IIT Madras in Chennai. The campus is built on Thaiyur, close to Chennai. Its first phase has an estimated cost of 1000 crores rupees. It is spread over an area of more than 2 lakh square meters.

PM Modi officially handed over the Arjuna Main Battle Tank (MK-1A) developed by DRDO to General MM Narwane, Chief of the Indian Army. DRDO chairman G Satish Reddy presented the model of MK-1A to PM Modi, which he handed over to the army chief.
