EPFO Bank Account Details Update: Every Provident Fund (PF) account holder is given a Universal Account Number (UAN). With UAN, the account holder can get the details of each of his PF account in one place. The UAN is linked with the EPF account, as well as the details of the employee’s bank account are also added to it. Money is collected on withdrawing PF amount in the same account.
But what if wrong bank account details are linked with UAN? EPFO says that if wrong bank account number or IFSC is linked with UAN, withdrawal of EPF amount may fail in future. If wrong bank account details are linked with your UAN, then there is no need to worry. The employee can update the bank account details in the online UAN while sitting at home. Let’s know-how.

How to update your bank account details
- First of all visit the Unified Member Portal of EPFO https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
- Log in here by entering the UAN and password.
- Now click on the ‘Manage’ tab. A drop-down menu will appear in front of you.
- Select KYC in this menu.
- Now select the bank and fill in the bank account number, name and IFSC and click on save.
- Finally, after this information is approved by the employer, your updated bank details will start appearing in the approved KYC section.
What to do if the employer does not respond?
If your employer is not reacting to the bank details updation request, first talk to your HR department or administration about this. If the details are taking longer to approve, then contact the higher authorities. If in spite of this, no action is being taken by the company, then complain on EPF Grievance.
