Paytm is preparing to launch its own credit card soon. Paytm has announced that it is working on making ‘next-generation credit cards’. For this, it is partnering with various credit card issuing companies. Paytm has about 15-20 million subscribers. The company plans to issue around 20 lakh credit cards in the next 12-18 months.
For Paytm credit card, the company is designing innovative digital experiences on its app. With this, users will be able to manage their total expenses and they will have complete control over the use of the card. Paytm has said in the statement that the purpose of the company is to give cardholders complete control of managing their transactions in real-time. This facility will be equipped with instant one-touch services like changing security PIN number, updating address, card blocking in case of loss of card or to prevent fraud, issue duplicate card and check outstanding credit limit etc.
There will be no need to go to the bank branch
Paytm is working on designing its credit card in such a way that customers do not need to go to the bank branch or call customer support. All services related to credit card account should be available on Paytm app. Other features of Paytm credit card include contactless payment and switching off international transactions. Paytm will also provide insurance protection for fraudulent transactions. Apart from this, users will be able to analyze their expenses using the Paytm credit card with the help of a Personalized Splend Analyzer.
Reward points will not expire
Paytm will also continue its cashback and reward model with Paytm credit card. Reward program with assured cashback will be available on every transaction through the card. Points earned by the customer will not have an expiry date and users will be able to use them for various payments in the Paytm ecosystem. Cashback Paytm will be available as gift vouchers and it can be spent anywhere. Customers will also get lifestyle benefits on credit cards, which will be in the form of discount vouchers and complimentary membership in various categories like travel, entertainment, food and more.
