Cases of cyber fraud have increased considerably for some time. In fact, due to social distancing in the Corona era, millions of users entered the world of online transactions. Due to less information, they are on the target of digital thugs. Meanwhile, some people are receiving emails in the name of the Governor of the Reserve Bank. It is being said that you are going to get financial help. In return, they ask for personal information from the mail recipient.
The PIB Fact Check team has taken a tweet about this from its official Twitter handle. PIB says that no such prize winning program is going on from the Reserve Bank. So beware of such breathtaking mail or messages. The Reserve Bank of India never communicates through Gmail. Therefore, do not trust such mail or messages. If you have any kind of question regarding this, you can be contacted on WhatsApp on 8799711259.

Digital fraud is adopting more than one trick. Canara Bank has also told in its tweet how cyber thugs collect personal information in the name of tax refund and then clear their account. Canara Bank issued an alert about this and said that it is necessary to be careful with such fake messages.

This is how fake trade is happening
Canara Bank has told through its tweet that the message actually comes in the name of getting you an income tax refund. As soon as you click that link. So you reach a website that looks like the original of the income tax. Actually it is not a website of income tax. After opening that link, you can be a victim of fraud by filling personal information in it. Therefore, if you have any message or email to get a refund, then be aware.
