High security registration plates (HSRP) and color coded stickers stating the type of fuel are mandatory on the vehicles. Failure to do both of these things on the vehicle can lead to a fine. The government had made a taper-proof, high security registration plate mandatory on all motor vehicles from April 1, 2019. In Delhi, the Transport Department has started checking whether the vehicles have HSRP and Fuel Type Stickers. Vehicles in Delhi which do not have these two things are being fined.
If your car or scooter / motorcycle or commercial vehicle does not have HSRP and fuel type sticker and you want to take it then it can be online. Apart from Delhi, home delivery of HSRP and color coded stickers has also been started in Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida in some cities of Uttar Pradesh. The process of applying online for HSRP and Fuel Type stickers is as follows-
- Go to bookmyhsrp.com.
- Choose your car category, car, two wheeler, three wheeler, 4 wheeler, heavy motor wheeler, commercial vehicle.
- Enter the name of the manufacturing company of the vehicle. Such as Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj, Piaggio, Mahindra etc.
- Now choose the state (Delhi or Uttar Pradesh)
- Choose a dealership in your city.
- Choose the type of fuel that runs in the car. Such as petrol, diesel, CNG, electric or CNG petrol
- Fill in some details like registration number, mobile number of the owner of the vehicle, address etc.
- After this, an OTP will come on the mobile number. Put it in the specified space.
- After this, details of vehicle booking will be required.
- After filling all the details, if you have chosen home delivery then the portal will confirm the details of delivery of HSRP and stickers.
- HSRP booking, dealer and delivery details will be sent to your registered phone number before payment.

In case of a towheeler
– Rs. 320-380 + GST (18%) for General Two Wheelers
– Rs 400-500 + GST (18%) for imported / high end bikes
Some dealerships also offer HSRP offline. The offline price is Rs 600-1100 in case of four wheelers and Rs 300-400 for two wheelers.
