Germany’s premium car maker Audi on Monday launched the facelift version of the S5 Sportback car in the domestic market. It has been launched at a price of 79.06 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). The company said in a statement that the five-seater, four-door sports coupe has been brought as a fully built unit. It further states that the demand has increased in Tier-II and Tier-III cities of Audi India, which is expected to further intensify.
3.0 liter petrol engine in the car
The latest Audi S5 Sportback is powered by a 3.0-liter twin turbo TFSI petrol engine. The vehicle comes with features like flat-bottomed steering wheel, sport front seats, virtual cockpit plus, updated multimedia interface system and panoramic glass sunroof.
Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon said that the Audi S5 Sportback is the second product launch of this year and they are eager to launch it in India. According to him, the Audi S5 Sportback attracts it due to its different styling, daily use ability and being comfortable with five seats. According to him, the introduction of the Audi S5 Sportback will further strengthen the company’s performance car portfolio in the country. He told that their sales are also increasing in Tier-II and Tier-III cities and it is expected to increase further during the year. He further said that 2021 is a very curious year for Audi India and customers will be thrilled about the brand going forward.
The S5 Sportback will give a direct competition to the BMW M340i xDrive in India. However, Audi has kept its price high due to being an imported CBU model. The M340i xDrive will be available in limited numbers, priced at Rs 62.9 lakh (ex-showroom) much lower than Audi’s car.
