2021 Tata Safari Vs MG Hector Plus: Tata Motors has unveiled the new Safari in India. It is being produced at the company’s Pune plant. Bookings for the new 2021 Tata Safari will begin on February 4. The Safari is based on Tata Motors’ Impact 2.0 design language and the “OMEGARC” platform will be available on Tata Safari. The new Tata Safari can seat 6 or 7 people. The engine
The 2021 Tata Safari will have a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinders, turbocharged diesel engine. It produces 170hp power and 350Nm torque. It also has a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The SUV has three riding modes Eco, City, Sports. Apart from this, ESP Terrain Response Mode – Normal, Rough and Weight are also given.

The 7-seater version of MG Hector Plus has a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine and a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder turbo petrol engine generates 143hp power and peak torque of 250Nm. The 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine generates 171hp power and peak torque of 350Nm. There is a manual and 48-V mild hybrid manual transmission system with the petrol engine. Only the manual gearbox will remain with the diesel engine.
At the same time, the 6-seater version of MG Hector Plus has a 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine as well as a 1.5 liter petrol hybrid automatic engine option. The 6-seater Hector Plus features a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and a 7-speed DCT as an optional, with turbo petrol and petrol hybrid automatic engine options. At the same time, there is only 6 speed manual transmission with diesel engine.

Features
The 2021 Tata Safari has exterior features like stepped panoramic sunroof, Xenon HID projector headlamps, chrome studded tri arrow front grille, twin light LED tail lamps. Features such as Ashwood dashboard, Oyster white theme interior, Oyster white leather upholstery, 8.8 inch floating island infotainment system, premium 320 watt JBL audio system, mood lighting, 6th powered driver seat in the cabin of the car. The SUV will also have a dedicated USB port, cup holders, dedicated AC unit for the third row. For the third row, the leg room will be the best in the segment.
MG Hector Plus features a vertically oriented 10.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7 inch all digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, 4th power adjustable seat for front passenger, three row AC vents, hands free function. There are features like powered tail gate, rain sensing wipers, ambient lighting etc.
Connected features
The new Tata Safari connected car pack is equipped with ‘iRA’. Connected technologies such as remote commands, vehicle security features, location based services, over the air updates, live vehicle diagnosis, gamification will be accessible under iRA.
MG Hector Plus has the latest generation MG i-SMART with over 55 connected features. Connected features include Air Updates, Gaana App Integration, Geofencing, Find My Car, Remote Vehicle Control, Online Navigation, Intelligent Voice Assistant, Vehicle Diagnostics etc. MG Hector Plus can understand and respond to Hinglish voice commands to control various in-car functions. For example, “Run FM”, “Reduce temperature” etc. Opening the command can be given to open the sunroof by speaking simsim.
